Between 1990 to 1997, a three-day music festival was held annually called Féile or The Trip to Tip. In 2018 Féile returned, this time as a concert combining those same seminal Irish voices of the late 90’s with the Irish Chamber Orchestra and other special guests to create Féile Classical. After this concert’s success, another production of Féile Classical took place on October 28, 2021.
I had many roles in this production, from artist support on RTE’s The Late Late Show promoting this concert to Stage/Artist Coordinating Manager. What a trial by fire this experience was. During the week of the concert, I acted as the right hand to the concert promoter, assisting in all the preparations and getting to know the performing artists. As this was one of the first projects I was a part of at this company, I was put in the hot seat and given managerial power. With over five different bands and artists, I coordinated with the stage manager to keep the transitions smooth and assist the flow of the concert.
