Durring my juinior year at LibertyUniversity, I volenteered my time at the local public library. In my time at this establishment I worked with the event cordinator and created graphics and paper advertisements for upcoming events.
A portion of the profits made to keep the Library up and running was through the identification and rearch of special edition, vintage, and speciality books that were donated to our Library. After I identified these books, I would come up with a rough estimate of the value and then propose an online selling description and price.
With the majority of my time spent organizing the books that were donated to the Library, I was also tasked with maintining a collection of Free Little Librarys in my area.
The final role that I took on was selling the used and uncurcilated books.
Throughout my semester at the Lynchburg Public Library I was able to strech myself and learn more about the academic research world. This library was often used by the neighboring universities for reliable research resources and was able to work alongside librarian researchers that make the databases that these students use in their papers.
